Back to the Floating Market near Bangkok for this post

At the floating market, we had an opportunity to feed the fish that reside by a Buddhist temple situated on the river.  As it is forbidden to fish by the temple, the smarter fish learned that hanging out in the water by the temple was a safe place to swim about.

Add in the fact that many Buddhists will feed the fish as a way to improve one's karma, the fish by the temple are both smart and well fed.  Truly a combination which makes for a fish Heaven or should I say fish Nirvana?

As soon as the food goes into the water, the fish quickly surface to consume it

You can barely see of the fish in this photo

Here is a much better photo of the fish feeding frenzy that Patrick took

This sign was directly across from the temple.  I was informed that it says no fishing allowed in the immediate area.  However, I think it may actually say the following:

WARNING - APPROACHING HAZARD
Gullible Tourists stopped in the middle of the river buying
very expensive bags of fish food to feed the local fish
