Golden Cupids in Chiang Mai

"ET" was waiting patiently at the Chiang Mai airport to take us to the Golden Cupids Boutique Hotel.  As there were six of us, each with a suitcase and at least one carry-on bag, some of the larger luggage items were placed on the roof top cargo carrier and tied down with bungee cords.  Once all of our luggage had been stowed away, off we went to the Golden Cupids, about a 20 minute drive from the airport. We stayed at the Golden Cupids in 2008 and enjoyed it so much, we returned to it for our current trip to Chiang Mai.

Don't worry, your luggage will arrive safely  :-)

After testing the temperature of the pool, Patrick pronounced it good.

Our balcony is the upper one and you can see James on his patio below.

Kacy's and Pat's room had the balcony that is the second one from the left.   Our door was the middle one at the top of the stairs.  James' and my Mom's room was directly at the bottom of the stairs in the center of the photo. The balcony for our room was on the other side of the building and overlooked the swimming pool and massage center.

Teri in our room that consisted of a queen size bed and a king size bed, a sitting area, a small refrigerator, a desk for my MacBook Air, and  a balcony.  The room is a tad larger and more spacious than the Lilliputian room we usually have in a typical Hong Kong hotel.  In fact, we had so much room, we even shared our room with a gecko lizard whom I lovingly named Greg Gecko.

Greg Gecko in the corner of our bathroom.  I figure it would not bite me or carry Teri off in the night so I left it alone.  After all, are we not all "brothers and sisters" even with our lizard denizens?

However, my hospitality to our lizard kin did not extend to those geckos who were outside of our room. Thus I did not open the window and allowed this one to come into our room. After all, brotherhood and sisterhood only goes so far. :-)
