Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

We went to the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery this visit as Teri wanted to see the Goddess sculpture that was in the midst of being constructed on our last visit in 2010.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT  There are people posing as monks who will attempt to put a bracelet on your wrist.  These are not free as they expect a "donation" of $50 HKD for each bracelet, roughly $6.50 USD.  Of course, we would have gladly donated some money if it had actually been a legitimate monk.  But as we later found out, it was noted that actual monks do not solicit money for bracelets and that we should refrain from giving money to these fake monks.

We ate lunch at the monastery.  Naturally, we ate a vegetarian meal.
This is a mock fish made of tarot paste.  Surprisingly, it was decent
even though I am a confirmed and fervent carnivore.

 Walking down was much easier
